The first time I purchased I was sent shorts that looked way lighter than the photo. But after an exchange I was sent the right wash and I LOVE them. They feel like good quality and fit like other “curvy” shorts I’ve tried—no gaping waist & enough room in the legs(: *I was afraid of sizing up. I’m a 26, but I went w/a 27 since I wanted them to be a tad longer & they fit great, not too big.

Love these shorts! Thick, quality, real denim. I am 5’0, 135 pounds, my waist is 31.5 inches around, and I have a curvy build. I typically wear a size 8 / 29, but I read these run small so I purchased a 31 and I LOVE the way they fit! I definitely could have also fit into a 30, but it would have been a more fitted look, whereas the 31 gives a looser fit. I bought the dark medium color, and in person it appears lighter than pictured. Very satisfied with my order!

These are super high waisted, have a good hip to waist ratio, and are a little cheeky depending on the vantage point. I had to place multiple orders to figure out the sizing and washes on these, but finally settled on the dark medium wash and took a larger size. The washes were lighter in person, imo the dark-medium looks exactly like the medium looks online, and the medium was pretty light. For sizing, I'm 29.5" waist and 39" hip and size 30 was perfect. I'll definitely get the mid-length version in the future, too!

I usually take a 26/27 in shorts and I got a 27 in these. They were soo small I have to return asap and get a 28. Id recommend but only if you size up. If you want them loose id say size up 2 sizes.

The shorts are sturdy, flattering, and have the high quality I expected from LA apparel(judging from my initial wear). A couple notes on the fit: -I often wear a waist 27 or 28 in other brands of denim (Garage, Gap). After considering some of the reviews, I sized up to a 29 and the waist fits but is still snug -Additionally, the waist of the shorts sits higher than expected Overall, though, I am quite pleased with the shorts and they are a great summer wardrobe staple
